Countries with a low incidence of tuberculosis

If you're from or have visited a country that isn't on the list of countries with a low incidence of tuberculosis, you may need to have a chest x-ray to apply for a New Zealand visa.

If you're a citizen of a country that's not on the list, or you've spent more than 3 months in the last 5 years in a country that's not on the list, you'll need to have a chest x-ray to apply for a visa to come to New Zealand for 6 months or more.

If you’re a citizen of a country that's not on the list and you can show us that you've never lived in or spent time in that country, you may not need to have a chest x-ray.
