This is the charge for Immigration New Zealand to process your application. We do not refund application costs if we decline your application. A non-refundable immigration levy is charged and is included in the cost.

COVID-19

NZ offices open

New Zealand offices are open. Most offices outside of New Zealand are open except for the UK, US and India. Processing of critical visas related to COVID-19 requests for entry to New Zealand are being prioritised based on the direction of the New Zealand Government.

Managed isolation and quarantine

on arrival in in New Zealand

Travellers to New Zealand from all countries are tested for COVID-19 and a 14-day managed quarantine or isolation is mandatory on arrival in New Zealand. If you do not have a voucher confirming your allocation in a managed Isolation facility you will not be able to board your flight to New Zealand.

Apply for a Supplementary Seasonal Employment Work Visa

Complete a ‘SSE/WHE Work Visa Application’ form and send it to us with your application fee, immigration levy, and supporting documents.

For the 2020/21season only (until 30 June 2021) you can also work for:

  • a Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) with an approved Agreement to Recruit where places have been unable to be filled by RSE workers; and
  • any employer in a role, region and during a period of time that's specified by MSD (and published on the Work and Income website).

Payment methods

Credit Card
You can pay with Visa or MasterCard. We take payment when we receive your application. You must have enough funds available on the day we receive your application or it may be returned to you.

Debit Card
You can pay by debit card. We take payment when we receive your application. You must have enough funds available on the day we receive your application or it may be returned to you.

Bank cheque/draft
You can pay by Bank cheque.

Bank cheques should be made payable to the NZ Immigration Service.

Personal cheque
You can pay by personal cheque.

Personal cheques should be addressed to the NZ Immigration Service. If you pay by personal cheque your application will be held for 10 working days to allow the cheque to be cleared. This delay will increase the time needed to assess your application.

We make a decision about your application

If there is anything else you need to do, we will be in touch.

If you are in New Zealand, and your current temporary visa expires before your new visa is granted, we will normally issue you an interim visa to let you stay in New Zealand lawfully.
