Your partner supports your application

Your partner must complete and sign a ‘Form for Partners Supporting Partnership-Based Temporary Entry Application’. They’ll need to give you their completed application with any supporting documents for you to include with your visa application.

You send us your visa application

You must complete and sign a ‘Partnership-Based Temporary Visa Application’. You’ll need to send it to us with your application fee, immigration levy, and supporting documents including your partner’s application.

Payment methods

Credit Card
You can pay with Visa or MasterCard. We take payment when we receive your application. You must have enough funds available on the day we receive your application or it may be returned to you.

Bank cheque/draft
You can pay by Bank cheque.

Bank cheques should be made payable to the NZ Immigration Service.

Personal cheque
You can pay by personal cheque.

Personal cheques should be addressed to the NZ Immigration Service. If you pay by personal cheque your application will be held for 10 working days to allow the cheque to be cleared. This delay will increase the time needed to assess your application.

For applications made in New Zealand, there is no courier fee to be paid for applications or documents to be returned.

If you are in New Zealand, and your current temporary visa expires before your new visa is granted, we will normally issue you an interim visa to let you stay in New Zealand lawfully.
