This is the charge for Immigration New Zealand to process your application. We do not refund application costs if we decline your application. A non-refundable immigration levy is charged and is included in the cost.

COVID-19

New Zealand offices open

New Zealand offices are open. Offices outside of New Zealand are closed except for the Pacific offices. Processing of critical visas related to COVID-19 requests for entry to New Zealand are being prioritised based on the direction of the New Zealand Government.

Submit your application

Complete the ‘Entrepreneur Work Visa Application’. You will need to send it to us with your application fee, immigration levy and supporting documents, including a detailed business plan.

You can pay with Visa or MasterCard. We take payment when we receive your application. You must have enough funds available on the day we receive your application or it may be returned to you.

You can pay by debit card. We take payment when we receive your application. You must have enough funds available on the day we receive your application or it may be returned to you.

Wait for a decision

If there is anything else you need to do, we will be in touch.

We may grant you another visa for 3 years

If we approve your application, we grant you an initial 12-month visa to start-up your business new Zealand.

Towards the end of the 12-months, we get in touch to ask you to send us information to show you have:

  • made the capital investment detailed in your business plan
  • set up or invested in the business detailed in your business plan.

If you have done this, we may be able to grant you another Entrepreneur Work visa for the balance of the 3 years.
