Information about Talent (Accredited Employer) Work Visa

This visa is for people who are looking for a pathway to live in New Zealand and who have a skill that’s needed by a New Zealand accredited employer. If an accredited employer offers you full-time work, you’ll be able to get a visa to work here. New employer accreditation and work visa

  • This visa only remains open if you are reapplying and you worked in the role the visa was issued for, were overseas when the border closed on 19 March 2020, and have not returned by 31 October 2021, or if you are waiting for a decision on your residence from work visa.

If you have a New Zealand work to residence visa

  • If you have already applied for a Talent (Accredited Employer) Work Visa and your employer’s accreditation has since expired, we will still process your visa with them as your employer, unless their accreditation was cancelled or they applied before 30 June 2021 and are waiting for a decision.
  • You can’t include a partner or dependent children in your work visa application, but they can apply for visas based on their relationship to you.
