Fingerprinting services at Alert Level 4

Please note that fingerprinting services will not be available at Alert Level 4. Please consult your provider for further information when Alert Levels change.

Where can I go to do my fingerprints?

The main provider for fingerprinting services is Kiwibank. They offer this service at many locations in New Zealand.

You can find their locations and make an appointment on their website.

Kiwibank fingerprinting services

Due to the nature of the fingerprinting service, if you're unwell or have been in contact with anyone who has travelled internationally within the last 14 days, Kiwibank would appreciate you delaying your appointment.

From 30 December 2020 Kiwibank no longer offers electronic fingerprinting. However, their manual fingerprinting services will still be available in selected branches.

Where do I go if Kiwibank does not offer this service in my region?

You can contact the New Zealand Police to see if they are able to assist. They offer this service in some regions.

New Zealand Police fingerprinting service

Fingerprinting services will not be available at Police stations in the regions where Kiwibank is providing the service. Outside of these areas, fingerprinting services will be available from major Police stations.
