I have a Permanent Resident Card (green card) for the United States of America. Can I travel to New Zealand without a visa?
Citizens of the United States of America (USA) who are travelling on a current United States passport are able to travel to New Zealand without a visa if they meet certain requirements.
As a Permanent Resident Card (green card) is not evidence of United States citizenship. Your eligibility to travel to New Zealand without a visa depends on the passport that you are travelling on.
People travelling on a passport issued by a visa waiver country may travel to New Zealand without applying for a visa in advance. They will still require an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority).
Those travelling on a passport issued by a country that is not on the visa waiver list must apply for and be granted a visa before travelling to New Zealand.
