We run the ballot

We run the Samoan Quota and Pacific Access Category ballot each year. The annual quota timeline is:

  • April: Registration period for Pacific Access Category and Samoan Quota - dates announced in advance
  • Early June: Ballot drawn
  • Mid June: Ballot announced and registration numbers published on Immigration New Zealand website
  • July – August: Pacific Relationship Managers create work profiles for those selected from the ballots
  • August – February: Recruitment of those selected from the ballots takes place.

We match you with workers

We provide a service that matches employers with workers from the Samoa, Fiiji, Kiribati, Tuvalu and Tonga.

We work with applicants and their partners to create a work profile (like a mini cv) where we capture their skills and work experience. When complete we make these profiles available to PQEs to view and to do their own shortlisting.

We also facilitate offshore interviews for PQEs. Our Pacific Relationship Managers will have an ongoing relationship with employers.
