New working holiday scheme for Portugal
On 20 March 2018, the Portugal Working Holiday Scheme will open for the first time. Under the scheme, 50 working holiday visas are available annually to citizens of Portugal aged between 18 and 30 years (inclusive). Visa holders may spend up to 12 months in New Zealand and may work for the same employer for a maximum of three months.
The Operational Manual will be updated with new instructions WI2.127 Portugal Working Holiday Scheme shortly. In the meantime, refer to Amendment Circular 2018-04.
