Change in receiving office for applications from applicants residing in Qatar

As you may be aware from news coverage of the situation, land, sea and air connections between Qatar and a number of nations in the Middle East have been closed and current regional information indicates that this is likely to be an ongoing issue.

As a result of this situation, applications and passports from Qatar nationals and third country nationals residing in Qatar (which make up 90 per cent of the nation’s residents) can no longer be received by the Dubai Visa Application Centre (VAC) and sent to the Dubai Market Office (DMO). The DMO is also unable to return documents or passports to Qatar.

The London Area Office will be the receiving and processing office for physical temporary applications from applicants residing in Qatar and the receiving office for passports for applications submitted through Immigration ONLINE as well as residence label issuing if the client is offshore.

The Office and Fee Finder will be updated to reflect this change. The Immigration ONLINE acknowledgment will also be updated to direct applicants to send their passports to the London VAC so the passport can be forwarded to the London office for scanning.

Information recommending applicants residing in Qatar use the Immigration ONLINE submission channel where possible will also be published on the Immigration New Zealand website.
