New bilingual eVisa approval template letter for Offshore Chinese eVisa holders

Earlier this year, New Zealand Government agencies put together some important information for Chinese travellers on what food and other items can be brought into New Zealand, public security, driving safely and health and medical issue, in preparation for travelling to New Zealand. Currently the information is delivered to Chinese visitors via a physical pamphlet in Chinese when their visa is approved and the passport is returned. This pamphlet is not received by Chinese eVisa holders as they receive their visa electronically.

A bilingual (i.e. English and Chinese) eVisa approval letter is now available for immigration officers to use when issuing an eVisa to a Chinese visitor. This bilingual eVisa approval letter is designed to make sure Chinese eVisa holders receive this important information. It contains links to information and requires them to read the information before they travel to New Zealand.
