Talent (Accredited Employers) Work Visa label conditions

Internal Administration Circular 07-14 outlined that label conditions for Talent (Accredited Employer) Work to Residence should include the occupation, employer and location.

WR1 Talent (Accredited Employers) Work Instructions do not require a labour market test to be conducted as part of the assessment of the application. As such there is no reason to include a specific location as a condition on the label. Conditions should read: ‘to work as [Occupation] for [Employer] in New Zealand’, e.g. ‘to work as Bank Manager for Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand’.

This means Talent (Accredited Employer) Work Visa holders will not have to apply for a variation of conditions should they be required to work in a different location in New Zealand as part of their job. However, visa holders will still be required to apply for variation of conditions if their job title changes so that any new offer of employment can be assessed under WR1.10.
