Closure of the Vladivostok Visa Application Centre

Immigration New Zealand (INZ)’s Vladivostok Visa Application Centre (VAC) opened in October 2010 and is currently the submission point for temporary visa applications from customers residing in the Eastern regions of the Russian Federation.

The VAC only handles walk-in applications (all postal applications must be sent to Moscow VAC) and acts as the collection point only; no data entry is carried out and instead applications are sent to the Moscow VAC for lodgement and delivery to INZ’s Moscow office.

The VAC procurement exercise conducted last year, along with the incremental roll out and subsequent good uptake from this market of Immigration ONLINE provided an opportunity to review the relevance of Vladivostok. The outcome of the review is to close the Vladivostok VAC.

From 30 April 2016, customers who previously submitted their visa applications to the VAC in Vladivostok will be required to submit their applications directly to the VAC in Moscow, which from 1 May 2016 (as a result of the procurement exercise), will be operated by a new provider.
