Variation of conditions and the requirement to submit an Employer Supplementary Form – INZ 1113

The Immigration Contact Centre has identified that INZ offices have different practices when processing variation of condition (work) applications. Some offices require an applicant to supply an Employer Supplementary Form – INZ 1113 while others do not. This practice causes confusion for applicants and their representatives as well as New Zealand employers.

Requiring applicants to submit an Employer Supplementary Form will ensure INZ has sufficient information about the employer, which might not otherwise be contained in the variation of conditions application form or the job offer.

To ensure that a consistent approach is applied by all INZ offices, changes have been made to the Application for a Variation of Conditions or Variation of Travel Conditions – INZ 1020, and the Employer Supplementary Form – INZ 1113 to require applicants to provide an Employer Supplementary Form when applying to vary the conditions of a work visa.

Please ensure your staff are aware of the changes.
