Between March and May, Immigration NZ is holding consultations with migrants who have arrived in New Zealand in the past five years.

Between March and May, Immigration NZ is holding consultations with migrants who have arrived in New Zealand in the past five years.

The  mix of workshops and focus groups will deliver insights into the experiences of recent migrants in settling and adjusting to life in New Zealand.

The consultation findings will help decide the design of services to meet the needs of migrants.

A light lunch, afternoon tea or supper will be provided to the migrants who take part along with a small thank-you gift.

As well as contacting individual migrants itself, Immigration NZ is reaching out to local organisations and groups who have contact with recent migrants in their community to ask for their support in recruiting participants.

Recent migrants will also be invited to complete an online survey in late April or early May.

Once the consultation has been competed, a report will be made available to the settlement sector, and there will be an opportunity for members of the sector to contribute their thoughts.
