Visa labels no longer issued for student visas granted through Provider Direct Monday, 26 November 2018

From 26 November 2018 visa labels will not be issued for student visas granted through Provider Direct.

Provider Direct is an online service that allows education providers to process student visa applications on campus.

If you are approved for a student visa Immigration New Zealand (INZ) will send you an email with a letter of approval attached, which is an eVisa. We will also send your education provider an email when we process the application they have submitted.

You should print a copy of your eVisa letter and keep it with your passport when you travel outside New Zealand. You may need to show your eVisa when you travel back to New Zealand.

Proving your visa status

Your education provider (and employer, if applicable) can check the details of your visa online using VisaView. With your consent, other people or organisations (such as health care providers and travel agents) can also see your visa details using the Visa Verification Service.
