Draft International Education Strategy for NZ to 2025 Tuesday, 4 July 2017

The draft International Education Strategy for New Zealand to 2025 was released for consultation on 30 June by the Minister of Tertiary Education Paul Goldsmith.

The draft strategy sets out the government’s proposed vision, goals and immediate priorities for the international education sector through to 2025.

It was developed with input from the international education sector, including an online survey and a series of workshops in 2016 to identify the future challenges and opportunities of international education in New Zealand.  Education New Zealand (ENZ) and the Ministry of Education are leading the strategy development. Immigration New Zealand and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment have been consulted in its development.

The draft strategy is published on the ENZ website.  Feedback options are explained on the website and include an online survey, a series of workshops for the sector, and a session during the New Zealand International Education Conference (NZIEC) in August.
