Frequently asked questions

I submitted my application to the old VAC location before 1 May, what will happen to my application after this date?

Any applications submitted before 1 May will be received and processed by INZ as usual. Once decided your passport will be available for collection from the new VAC location or if you opted for courier return, returned by the new provider.

I couriered/posted my application to the old location after 1 May, what will happen to my application?

It is unlikely that the courier company or postal service will automatically redirect your application to the new VAC location – this is mainly for security reasons.  Instead you should expect your application to be returned to you. You will need to resend your application to the correct VAC address.

Why has the VAC service fee in the Philippines increased so much?

The increase in service fee from PHP500 to PHP760 reflects the increases in costs over the last eight years (the last time the fee had been adjusted). Also, previously any additional documents that were submitted would have attracted an additional fee, this is no longer required.

Immigration Online

Customers also have the option of applying for their work, student or visitor visa via Immigration Online. In addition those customers applying online, and from visa waiver countries, no longer need to submit their passport to INZ and instead are issued with electronic visas.
