English and Maori are the two official languages of New Zealand. There are numerous Maori words that New Zealanders now use in their everyday speech, including Kia Ora – a Maori greeting that you often hear instead of ‘Hello’ or ‘Hi’. It’s also used as an expression of gratitude or agreement.

Can I move to New Zealand?
