Immigration advisers will be able to easily identify their clients when they receive an email from our Online Client Enquiry System. We’re enabling you to supply your own unique identifying code on each client’s application form.
Our application forms will feature a place for you to write in the code
The person filling out the application form needs to write in a code that will be used to identify the client.
NOTE: This code is for your own reference only. Its only purpose is to allow you to identify which client our email notifications refer to. The code you give us should be related to your own systems and the way that you identify your clients. It is not an NZIS client code and we won’t accept it for any enquiries at any of our branches about the status of an application.
The code needs to follow some rules or our system won’t accept it
- The code can be up to 10 characters – letters and numbers only.
- No more than three letters are permitted.
- The letters and numbers you choose can be in any order.
- Don’t use symbols (for example $ % ^ @); punctuation marks
(for example: . , ? : ;) or operators (for example + - /).
Some examples
You can use codes such as:
A123
B1234C
1234D567EF
Don’t use codes such as:
ABCD910 – too many letters
XYZ12345678 – more than 10 characters
GH123*$(A) – code contains characters that aren’t numbers or letters
You’ll see the code you give us in the email we send to you
When you receive your email from the NZIS, you will find the following text under the main body of the email:
“Advisor Client Reference: [Code you supplied]”
The email will contain all the information that you need to access the Online Client Enquiry System via the Internet, including a link to the system and a PIN number.
If you accidentally provide a code that doesn’t meet our input rules, we will alter it to make it fit with our system. In other words, supplying an incorrect code will not stop you from receiving notification by email that you can check your client’s status via the Internet.
Please take care to ensure that the email address you give us is correct.
This is the start of our development of third-party online access
We will be further developing our systems to improve your third-party access to client applications, as part of our online strategy. These future improvements will help you manage your caseload of applications.
