Accident Compensation Scheme

Visitors to New Zealand are covered under the local Accident Compensation Scheme for personal injury by accident. You will be covered for some medical and hospital expenses, but not for loss of earnings outside New Zealand. Make sure that your travel insurance covers accidents as well as illness so that you have full protection.
