Welcome to Immigration New Zealand Hong Kong

Staff at the Hong Kong branch consider all visa applications (except Skilled and Business Migration Categories) from Hong Kong and Macao. We also consider all temporary entry visa applications from the three provinces on the south-eastern seaboard of China – Hainan, Guangxi, and Guangdong (including Shenzhen SEZ).

In addition, the Hong Kong branch oversees temporary visa services and family residence applications provided through the New Zealand embassies in Tokyo, Japan, and Seoul, South Korea.

Temporary entry applications for vsitor, student, and work visas provide the highest demand with approximately 10,000 visa decisions made each year. A small number of family category residence applications are also processed by the branch.
