Suva Branch is one of three Immigration New Zealand (INZ) offices located in the Pacific.
The Suva branch employs 22 staff, who process around 21,000 temporary visa applications a year. Family residence applications are also processed here in Fiji. We have staff members who are fluent in English, Fijian and Hindustani.
The Suva branch also processes applications from the rest of the Pacific (with the exception of applications from Tonga, Samoa, Niue and Rarotonga).
INZ now issues e-visas to visa applicants in Papua New Guinea and will continue to roll out e-visas to applicants from these locations and dates:
As a result, applicants from these countries will not have a visa label in their passport.
New Zealand’s electronic visa system does not require you to have a visa label placed in your passport to confirm your immigration status and entitlements in New Zealand.
For your reference, you will receive your visa details via an e-visa approval letter, which will be sent to you by email (or collected from a Visa Application Centre if you have opted to use this service). When you check in to fly to New Zealand, airline staff will use your passport and your e-visa approval letter to confirm that you have authority to travel to New Zealand prior to boarding the aircraft.
It is very important you carry your e-visa approval letter in your passport when travelling to New Zealand. Failure to do so may result in the airline refusing to allow you to board your aircraft.
