S6.20 Fees (to 01/08/2022)

1. The principal applicant in a 2021 Resident Visa application must pay any total fee owing as notified by INZ.
2. An immigration officer must approve a 2021 Resident Visa application if they are satisfied the principal applicant has paid the total fee owing in the approval in principle letter (assuming the 2021 Resident Visa requirements are met).
3. If the principal applicant does not pay the total fee owing as notified by INZ, the application must be declined (see R5.45(d)), unless an immigration officer is satisfied that circumstances warrant extending the approval in principle period (R5.45(e)-(f)) or warrant a further approval in principle letter (R5.45(g)).
