SM11.1 Aim and intent

The aim of providing points for work experience is to recognise the importance of skills and experience gained through previous employment that:

• are readily transferable;
• will enable migrants to obtain skilled employment in New Zealand; and
• will enhance migrants’ ability to contribute to New Zealand economically and socially.
