RA1.10 People exempt from having to hold a residence permit

Immigration Act 1987 s 12
Immigration Regulations 1999 Schedule 1, Part 2

The following people are exempt from having to hold a residence permit:

1. citizens of the Commonwealth of Australia; and
2. those exempted by special direction from having to hold a permit.
