E7.25 Procedure for granting a temporary entry class visa for a period longer than provided for in immigration instructions

See also Immigration Act 2009 ss 22(1)(d), 77(1)(c)

  1. A temporary entry class visa may be granted for a period longer than stipulated in immigration instructions (see E3.10) provided that an exception to instructions is made by an immigration officer with Schedule 1-3 delegations.
  2. Posts without such officers should request approval from an appropriately delegated officer at another office.
