Y3.30 People with false documents

A person commits an offence against the Immigration Act 2009 if they:

  1. make any statement, or provide any information, evidence, or submission, knowing that it is false or misleading in any material respect, in support of any application for a visa or entry permission, or any request for variation, waiver, or cancellation of the conditions of a visa; or
  2. produce or surrender any document or supply any information to an immigration officer or a refugee and protection officer knowing that it is false or misleading in any material respect; or
  3. complete any document required as part of a border requirement in a manner that the person knows to be false or misleading in any particular, or fails to comply with any of his or her other responsibilities under section 103 of the Immigration Act 2009.
