R7.15 Evidence

R7.15.1 Evidence required to confirm or transfer residence class visas

Acceptable evidence for a confirmation of residence class visa may include:

  1. any previous or expired passport or certificate of identity containing a residence class visa,
  2. the passport containing the original residence class visa, permit or other entry authority applying at the time of entry; or
  3. for the purpose of R7.1.1, documents showing continued residence since before 2 April 1974, which may include but are not limited to:
    1. rates demands,
    2. driver's licenses,
    3. receipted power bills,
    4. income tax returns,
    5. school records,
    6. employment references,
    7. any other evidence requested by INZ.
