Jeremy Moon started Icebreaker clothing 10 years ago with very little money, but with big ideas. After being shown a non-itch merino wool product he went about developing the Icebreaker story before the first garment had even come off the production line.
Calling on the support and advice of business heavyweights, the company designed a story that focused on the romance and individualism of the New Zealand Southern Alps, an image reinforced after the world famous yachtsman Sir Peter Blake wore a prototype Icebreaker when he set a new world circumnavigation yachting record.
From only 30 stock items a decade ago, the company now has a range of over 1,000 items and has a global distribution footprint.
