And then slowly winter gives way to spring. The daffodils bloom in Hagley Park in Christchurch and newborn lambs frolic on farms up and down New Zealand. Trees are tinged with green and the countryside comes alive from its winter sabbatical. And with the introduction of daylight saving, the longer, warmer days see people getting out and about and experiencing all this time of year has to offer.
