W3.140 Special work permits for Fijian citizens who arrived in New Zealand on or before 6 July 2000

  1. Citizens of Fiji who:
    1. arrived in New Zealand on or before 6 July 2000, and
    2. have been granted a temporary permit (being a further temporary permit to that granted upon arrival in New Zealand), as a result of the New Zealand Government's response to the political situation in Fiji in May 2000,

    may apply for a work permit under this policy.

  2. Applications for work permits under this policy must be made in the prescribed manner (see E4.55) and must include an offer of employment.
  3. Work permits granted under this policy will be made current for a period of three months only from the date of grant of the permit.
