H2.25 Approval not contrary to the public interest
Visa and immigration officers must be satisfied that the presence of the applicant would not be contrary to the public interest of New Zealand, by:
- establishing that the applicant does not pose a security threat; and
- applying the character requirements policy (see A5), including the provisions for making an exception (see A5.25.1); and
- applying the policy on health requirements (see A4), including the provisions for medical waivers (see A4.55).
