The Expression of Interest

See the EOI checklist to make sure you have everything you need.

Online EOI

The Online Expression of Interest allows you to go through the whole process through the web. To complete your EOI, you will need to register for an Online Services account.

You can then use your account to fill out the form, check the status of your application, and update your details.

You can save your progress as you fill out your EOI online. If you don’t have enough time, or need to check some information, just save where you are and come back to it when you are ready. You will need around two hours to completely fill out the online form.

You will find the EOI in your Online Services account once you have registered.

Paper EOI

If you want to apply through your branch, use the Expression of Interest form (NZIS 1100) PDF. You will find the Expression of Interest Guide (NZIS 1101) PDF helpful in filling it out, and you can contact your branch for more help.

Use the Expression of Interest form – Child Supplement (NZIS 1103) PDF for any dependent children on your application.

If you apply on paper, but still want to receive electronic updates, you can call your branch and ask to be set up with an Online Services account.
