Transport from the airport

Taxis, airport buses, and shuttle vans are available at all international airports.

Taxis have reliable meters that calculate the fares. All taxis charge a similar fare for the same journey. We don’t use bargaining or tipping for taxi services in New Zealand.

Prices for airport buses and shuttle vans are fixed and generally cheaper than for taxis.

All cities with international airports have bus and taxi services. Wellington also has a commuter train system. But New Zealand doesn’t have any underground train systems.

Here is more information to routes and transport options from the major airports.
