Community law centres offer legal advice, information and education. There’s one in some main cities and large towns. Your local Citizens Advice Bureau can give you details.

Family Planning Association (FPA) offers services on matters such as contraception, pregnancy, relationships and sexually transmitted diseases. They have branches in many cities and towns, and their number will be in the phone book.

There are services available in our universities and at many secondary schools to help young people with information or advice. Look on the university website, on noticeboards around the campus, or go to the student health centre.

You’ll find a huge range of youth organisations in New Zealand. There are community centres and drop in centres, church youth groups, cultural groups, music groups, and sports clubs. Your local Citizens Advice Bureau can give you information about what’s available in your area. The city council or regional council can help with information too.
