Citizens Advice Bureau

Your local Citizens Advice Bureau (often called the CAB) is a great place to go for free information and advice. There are more than 90 CABs in New Zealand so there’s probably one near where you live. The staff at the CAB can help you find the information you need. And they can help you find other services that you need. They won’t always have the answers but they know where you should go.

They have details on local sports clubs and hobby groups. They can help with problems with landlords or trouble at school. Their staff can provide interpreting and translation services to help non-native English speakers.
