Minimum English language requirement

You must meet a minimum level of English language ability to gain residence under the Pacific Access Category.

To meet the minimum level of English ability, an immigration officer must be satisfied that you are able to read English, understand and respond to questions in English, and maintain an English language conversation about yourself, your family and your background.

You may like to attach documents to your application that indicate your English language ability. As well, an immigration officer may require you to attend an interview to test your English language ability.
