While we welcome families from the Pacific Islands we must also protect the interests of New Zealand families. We do this through the use of visas and permits and by using a selection process.
The Pacific Access Category is run by ballot. You can only apply for residence under this category if your registration is drawn from the ballot.
You then have to apply for a residence visa or permit.
You need to pay a fee when you register your interest and another fee when you apply for a residence visa or permit. Go to the fee finder to find out what you’ll need to pay.
