Shopping

The usual opening hours for shops and businesses are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. In the cities and larger towns shops stay open until 5.30pm. However, supermarkets generally open till 9:00pm. A number of other businesses such as petrol stations, fast food outlets and video stores also stay open in the evenings.

Most shops open on Saturdays and some on Sundays. And in tourist resorts shops open for longer hours - particularly in the high season.
