Can I move to New Zealand?

While we welcome family of New Zealand citizens and residents we must also protect the interests of New Zealand families. We do this through the use of visas.

We’ve a number of requirements you must meet to gain a residence class visa.

And you’ll need to pay a fee when you apply for a residence class visa.  Go to the fees finder to find out what you’ll need to pay.

Take a short cut to find out…

Use our quick check and our examples to find out if you’re likely to be approved residence.

If you think you meet the requirements, you then need to apply for a residence class visa.

English and Maori are the two official languages of New Zealand. There are numerous Maori words that New Zealanders now use in their everyday speech, including Kia Ora – a Maori greeting that you often hear instead of ‘Hello’ or ‘Hi’. It’s also used as an expression of gratitude or agreement.
