How do I get my money back?

We no longer accept applications under the previous Investor Policy – the information in these pages is applicable only to applications made between 4 July 2005 and 25 November 2007.

You can choose to withdraw some or all of your funds before the end of the investment period.

You can withdraw a portion of your funds after two years and invest in an an approved business.

You can request to withdraw from the scheme and take out all your money before the end of the investment period. However, in doing so, you will breach the conditions of your residence permit.

Any funds that remain with the New Zealand Government after five years will be transferred back to your New Zealand bank account.
