I’m here under a working holiday scheme.  I’ve been working with my current employer for nearly three months and I’d like to continue working for them.  Can I?

If you hold a working holiday visa for either the Malaysia or Singapore schemes you may work for the same employer for a maximum of six months.

If you hold a working holiday visa for one of the following schemes you may work for the same employer for a maximum of 12 months:

  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • France
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Sweden
  • United States
  • United Kingdom.

If your working holiday scheme is not listed above you may work for the same employer for three months only.

If you wish to work for an employer for any longer than your working holiday scheme allows, you need to apply for a different type of temporary work visa.
