Leaving New Zealand
I need to temporarily leave New Zealand and come back
Your visitor visa expires when you leave New Zealand, unless the travel conditions allow multiple journeys. If you hold a multiple journey visa you’ll be able to re-enter New Zealand when you return, provided you’ve not exceeded the time period originally allowed. If you hold a single entry visa, which allows you entry for the one journey only, you’ll need to apply for a
variation of travel conditions
.
