If you are not eligible for a 12 month Returning Resident’s Visa, you will be issued with a 14 day Returning Resident’s Visa (you must be currently in New Zealand).

 

What if special circumstances prevent me from being eligible?

If you are not eligible because of special circumstances outside your control, you should submit detailed evidence of this with your application. Depending on your situation and circumstances, it may be possible to obtain a further Returning Resident’s Visa.
