Amendment Circulars

The INZ Operational Manual will be updated three times per year: generally April, July and November. Any amendments made before the update will be posted here in the form of an Amendment Circular.

Only Amendment Circulars from recent months are available here, as the rest will have been incorporated into the Operational Manual. 

  • 17 May 2012 – Amendment Circular 2012-07 PDF [25KB] – Concerns the ban on the grant of residence class visas to certain individuals and classes of individuals.
  • 11 May 2012 – Amendment Circular 2012-06 PDF [121KB] – Outlines the removal of the Parent Category and the Sibling and Adult Child Category from Residence instructions from 16 May 2012.
  • 10 April 2012 – Amendment Circular 2012-05 PDF [103KB] – Outlines changes to Appendix 4: Long Term Skill Shortage List. The changes are effective 19 April 2012.
  • 5 April 2012 – Amendment Circular 2012-04 PDF [75KB] – Outlines changes to Specific purpose or event instructions effective on and after 30 April 2012.
  • 5 April 2012 – Amendment Circular 2012-03 PDF [410KB] – Outlines changes to Appendix 3: List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment and Appendix 8: Qualifications Recognised as an Exception.
  • 20 March 2012 – Amendment Circular 2012-02 PDF [424KB] – Outlines changes to the immigration instructions as part of the March release.

  • 5 November 2011 – Amendment Circular 2011-18 PDF [18KB] – The Skilled Migrant Category additional selection criteria is being maintained for the next six months from 1 February 2012 to 31 July 2012.
  • 1 November 2011 – Amendment Circular 2011-17 PDF [135KB] – Outlines changes to various immigration instructions effective on and after 7 November and further changes effective on and after 21 November 2011.
