Research shows skilled migrants points system working well

New research by the Department of Labour (now Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment) has found the Skilled Migrant Category is generally working well, with 94 percent of skilled migrants in jobs three years after migrating, and earning on average $30 an hour.

The research study 'Points of Difference' aimed to find out how well skilled migrants integrated into the New Zealand workforce by assessing the points they were awarded under different categories against their wages.  Read the news story.
