Refugee Family Support Category: no tier two ballot in 2008, and more information on tier one queue

Friday, 25 January 2008
Because we have received and provisionally entered enough registrations into the tier one queue to fill the number of places available under the Refugee Family Support Category for this financial year, there will not be a tier two ballot in 2008.

More information on the tier one queue

As of 15 January 2008, we have provisionally accepted 339 registrations into the tier one queue.  These registrations represent 1393 people.

All registrations accepted into the tier one queue have been allocated a number according to the date we received the registration and entered it into the queue. We have sent letters advising of registration numbers.

Registrations numbered 7810773 to 7874020 will be issued Invitations to Apply for Residence from February 2008, providing the registrations pass through a second stage of verification.

It is likely that registrations numbered greater than 7874020 will be issued Invitations to Apply for Residence from November 2008.
