Specific procedure for Fiji

Use this Fiji Police Clearance Application PDF [171KB] to submit your request for a Fiji Police Clearance Certificate. This application is to be forwarded direct to the Officer-in-Charge, CID, Police Headquarters, Suva, Fiji. The Fiji Police will release this report to Immigration New Zealand in Suva who will forward it to the branch processing your application.

Ensure you include the correct fee as below:

• If you are sending this application from within Fiji, the Police fee is F$61.30.
• If you are sending this application from an overseas country including New Zealand, the Police fee (payable by bank draft only) is F$102.20 and there is an additional bank fee F$10.00, total fee F$112.20.
• If you are paying by international cheque only the Police fee is F$102.20 with an additional bank fee of F$50.00, total fee F$152.20.

Ensure you enclose a certified copy of your birth certificate and the bio data page of your passport(s).

Fiji Police clearance certificates

Applicants for visas must be of good character. You may have to supply a police certificate (or similar) as evidence of good character, depending on which policy you apply under.

Police clearance certificates must be less than six months old when the application is lodged.

We may ask for further police certificates if the initial police clearance certificate becomes a year old from its date of issue before we make a decision on your application; or within the 12-month period if there is good reason to do so.
