Immigration New Zealand (INZ) recognises certain qualifications for immigration application purposes.

Do my qualifications meet INZ requirements?

• Qualifications Exempt from Assessment
  If your qualification is on this list, it does not need to be assessed by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
• Qualifications Recognised as an Exception
  Qualifications on this list are exceptions under the Skilled Migrant Category; they do not have to be assessed by the NZQA.

Teaching qualifications

If you want to teach in New Zealand, you will have to have your teaching qualification or degree in Education assessed by the NZQA for teacher registration and salary purposes.
